Look a little deeper!

"When everything seems hopeless, look a
little deeper and discover what is
really true.

Maybe you haven't noticed the one small opportunity that exists. Maybe you didn't see the look of admiration that someone gave you or maybe you are unaware of the brilliance of who you are. Look a little deeper...

In our world, a day may be cold and dark and the next day may be filled with light and warmth, so dare to dream. B
eauty is sometimes hidden and truth hides too. You can even hide from yourself, but don't, instead try today to look a little deeper and you'll see that life is full of promises." Karl Perera http://www.more-selfesteem.com/

Many times we look only at the surface. We find it difficult to have a deeper look at situations and life in totality. We let only the obvious define our actions and attitude and this prevents us from seeing the opportunities that abound and the beauty of life as a whole.

When you look back on your life, do focus your gaze only on the pain, mistakes and heart aches? Can you just take a deeper look at yourself and if possible do this in front of a mirror. Look deep into your own eyes and see the strength within you, see the best of you, see the pride in yourself, see the learned lessons from life experience and above all see the beautiful, wonderful and perfect handwork of God.

Depression and suicide is becoming an increasing phenomenon in the world today. There are a thousand reasons for this but a major factor is a dissatisfaction in self and life. Even the rich and famous commit suicide after long battle with depression. They have all the glamour but sometimes lose a sense of themselves and this could be depressing. Many of us feel depressed when faced with delayed hope like in Proverb 13vs12; 'Hope deferred maketh the heart sick....'

Whatever the situation, let the joy of the Lord fill your heart and be your strength. Always remember you are not forgotten by God and you
are the apple of his eyes. If he cares for the birds in the tree and the lilies in the field, he cares much more for you. When it seem his promises are taking long to manifest, wait for it and don't give up on God. When your patience seems to run out and you feel like errrhhh pray like the psalmist in Psalm 143:7 'Come quickly Lord and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don't turn away from me, or I will die'

God bless you!
